Plasma cutting - CNC

Uni-Pro specialises in plasma and oxycutting services, using CNC-controlled machines to automate welding processes.

Plasma is ionised matter, which resembles a gas in its aggregate state, but is increasingly recognised and appreciated as the fourth state of matter. Plasma is electrically conductive, but its resistance decreases with increasing temperature (the opposite of metals). Plasma cutting involves melting and ejecting metals from the cutting gap. Plasma cutting equipment uses plasma-generating gases, usually air, but large machines use argon, nitrogen, hydrogen, helium or mixtures of these gases. This method involves the use of a high temperature in the core of the arc (which has a large kinetic energy charge) and a very high plasma jet speed. This melts the material being cut and blows it out of the slit. The material to be plasma cut can be any electrically conductive material, so the most common materials to be cut are carbon alloys and their alloys, aluminium, brass and cast iron.

Plasma cutting equipment

Plasma cutting machines are characterised by very high performance and quality of service. They are very economical, as they consume a limited amount of energy and gases used during the cutting process. Combined with developed solutions in plasma and plasma-oxygen products, they are very functional and their price is adequate to the quality of the products. The devices have infinitely variable current control, so that cutting parameters can be optically selected for the various materials to be processed - depending on their thickness and grade. Depending on the model of the plasma cutting machine, we can achieve a cut regardless of the material and its thickness. Plasma cutting machines are made of aluminium alloys and, thanks to their construction, are resistant to both dynamic and static loads. The machine's supporting structure is made of steel profiles that are welded together, making it robust and very stable. It carries the material table, the roadway and the extraction system. These components are made of hardened steel. All cables are located in the guide rails and are thus resistant to abrasion, chipping and heat. They therefore comply with all safety standards.

We use STIGAL plasma cutting equipment with liquid-cooled units with a cutting capacity of up to 40 mm to carry out orders in this area. These units are highly technologically developed and have High Quality Cut quality. These units are used in the production, industrial ventilation and developed automotive workshop sectors.

Plasma cutting at UNI-PRO

We offer comprehensive metalworking services including plasma cutting operations for steel materials. We cut materials in the thickness range from 0.5mm to 40mm in a quality similar to laser cutting with a precision of up to 0.4mm. We have machines that are very easy to move, they can be easily transported to different positions on the shop floor, so we can carry out specialised orders according to the customer's specifications. Some of the models can be increased modularly, adding additional elements such as: pipe turntables, a portal extractor or a milling machine slide. We invite you to contact us for a detailed offer of services provided by our company using a liquid-cooled plasma cutting machine.
